ZNY's thrust ball bearings are designed to withstand thrust loads during high-speed operation, consisting of washer-like raceways with ball rolling. As the raceways are seat-shaped, thrust ball bearings are divided into two types: flat seat type and self-aligning spherical seat type. Additionally, these bearings can bear axial loads but cannot withstand radial loads.
ZNY's thrust ball bearings come in two types: single-direction and double-direction. The single-direction thrust ball bearings consist of two race rings (shaft ring and bearing seat ring) and one cage with balls. Double-direction thrust ball bearings are composed of three race rings and two cages with balls. For double-direction types, the design involves two ball-equipped cages clamping the shaft ring.

To accommodate installation errors, both single and double-direction types can choose either the spherical self-aligning seat type or the type with a spherical seat ring.
